Trying to consciously do positive things for yourself will help you to feel good. It could be going for a walk, baking a cake, or perhaps you might enrol on a course that interests you. For me, it’s my writing.
When you engage in activities that you enjoy, you will notice a positive change in your mood – and when you’re feeling good in yourself, those positive feelings rub off on those around us. So if you sense that your friend or family member is feeling down, then your positive energy can help bolster theirs. You could even try to embark on an activity that you both enjoy, such as joining a dance class.
There are plenty of avenues you could explore – you could look into volunteering for a charity, or joining a local group. Perhaps you could consider contacting a local residential home and offer your skills to their residents. All such acts of kindness shine right back at you and will help you to feel better about yourself – and in feeling positive within, you’ll spread your radiant energy to others, too.
