Putting number one first forms the foundational stones of looking after others. We cannot help those we care about, until we’ve mastered how to prioritize our own wellbeing.

Yet it can feel indulging, especially if we’ve spent weighty years putting other people’s demands above our own. If we’ve allocated more time people – pleasing, for those who never offer a two-way channel – than considering our own needs. That doing so has overshadowed our own life fluidity.

It takes skill and practice to learn to put number one first. I’m midst learning this and realise feelings of anxiety and guilt can bob to the surface. Please know that if we’re honest genuine people: that these emotions are unfounded.

When we look at why others can exploit good souls, it generally orientates around people who are not self-honest, have no mindset to grow and who overlook the essential need for personal development. Such folk vibrate at low personal awareness levels. They are the ones who deplete our energy and who up their demands on us.

Make a concerted effort to draw a line under these negative human traits, and get savvy about poor behavioral hallmarks. Do they: undermine / lie/ exaggerate / manipulate/ guilt trip you. Do they only contact you for transactional gain? Be reassured that they are insecure about themselves, jealous of you, and not for your material possessions – but your zest for life, you’re never give-up attitude.

Foster a stoic attitude. I know by looking inwards I unearth my personal growth shoots. I only judge number one, and I know what I can / cannot control.

In learning to put number one first, we accept and address our idiosyncrasies. We wish to delve into the unvarnished raw workings of us; not the comfortable distorted version of popularity and societal expectation.

We want to sit in quiet contemplation, and preferably outside – in nature. We accept the pain of learning self-discipline, taking action over motivation.

The desire to continually learn with accountability and truth. These reasons and mindset can only flow freely – when we learn to put number one first.

I hope you find this helpful.

SUNNY wishes,
