Those of us who are lucky enough to have true friends have immeasurable wealth!

In every sunny and stormy day – alike, they share our life journey with love, consistency, truth, and lightness. They never judge nor trick us, they are simply there; a call or a facetime and whenever we need them, or they need us.

We share a perfect harmonious crown; a balance of energy and synergy. It gleams agenda -free and real. It sparkles with gems of giggles, and shared experiences.

But, when we close the chat, are our standards as vibrant for number one – as we shine on others? Probably not, and yet every aspect of learning and personal development- ultimately falls under our own control. We are solely responsible to see and implement the positive changes that we desire. Being motivated is to attempt to siphon solar energy, without the panels in place to capture it. Action must occur and motivation will follow.

To become a better friend to ourselves is crucial, if we wish to evolve to the best versions of number one.

Some years ago, I attended a course designed to reveal and understand our personalities. What really engages our psyche, the inner workings of us. How to navigate life, in general. Our strengths and weaknesses. Its foundation was effective and easy to implement, to ask our trusted few, what would they say if they were appraising us?

We probably know their responses, can hear their voices in our heads. Examples:

1: “I know she can do it – if only she could learn to let go of the small stuff”

2: “She muddles people pleasing with kindness”

3: “She’s got a great attitude about her disability”

These examples illustrate what our friends feel and love about us. They are constructive stepping stones that help us see our personality profile and in so shape us to becoming a better friend to number one.

And by keeping the promises you make to yourselves: your unspoken rule you apply to your friends… will ensure you serve yourselves with the same self-love and care you give to friends. It is the best gift you can bestow on you!

I hope you find this helpful.

SUNNY wishes,
