The syrupy ebb and flow of the sea edge. Undulating hypnotically, slosh, trickle – deploring for quietude.   The countryside jeweled in soft watercolour, a palette of calming hues. Flowers of buttery yellow, the dreamy lilacs, and the matching baby blues of a summery sky. The rhythmic chirp of birdsong, a mere two, three beat syllable, somehow translating as rest now, rest now. The bough of the trees, the leafy hands, inviting us to stroke the coolness of their palm- a leafy caress.

And when we take heed, immersing and feasting with all our senses, we emulate the cadence of Mother Nature. It is not forced, and it requires no learning. It just is, because we’re intrinsically part of it. A mere number, in terms of species, all sharing oxygen and the life force elements.

Our minds flushed through of all hindering emotions, for moments or hours – recall them pictorially through mediation or revisit in person. A promise to you, number one, and especially so – if you keep overlooking your need for their soul nourishment.

Invest in quietude. Because your mind opens to the brilliance of being human. For the choices that you forget you can make. For the freedom you know belongs to you. The carefree version of you, before the mind smog got in the way. Your outstretched arms, aeroplane style, pelting down a hill. Or, the cumbersome limbs of impairment – yet, the discovery of superpower mobility, rocked in a swing – ‘til your feet almost slippered the clouds, higher, higher, that first taste of naturally induced dopamine.

Whether you have a glut of memories…or but a few, like the precious handful of shells, you once gathered from the sandy shores. Pick them up and cherish the connections. Find the knotty threads of mind cleansing power by getting outside. Siphon off the quietude that nature will gift you. Breathe-in the brilliance of wonderment and possibility.

You deserve to be your own free agent. Never forget so.

I hope you find this helpful.

With breezy SUNNY wishes, Emma x
