I’m not beating myself up today and that’s the difference…
So what can I see now more clearly, with less “personal fog” hindering my vision?
Whatever it is that frequently weighs in your thoughts, in my experience it does seem to actually blur your sight.
And it’s surprising what a mood shift can do for your mental wellbeing. Today for instance the sun was shining, it made it simple to decide what to wear and that in itself made me feel like be kinder towards myself.
Even though I’m fifty, like so many of us I can be mean to myself for a totally unfounded reason.
However, if I’m having a good day, even a good hour I notice that my body seems to be moving less awkwardly. Within this- my being, feels less cumbersome and within those feelings are subtle effervescing feelings. I call them my popping candy or my human petrol…. And I’ve learnt / still learning how to make the most of my happier version of me…
So, if this morning you haven’t had to wait ages for the bus. Or you found it easy to decide what to wear- then this because you will feel calmer within this emotion and it’s where your human petrol is.
(I reckon if it was a physical organ, then it is positioned right at the pit of your stomach)
You’ll know if yours is starting to glow, or that it’s “on” because you’ll start listening more constructively to yourself. It may only last a short while, but in this time you could find a handy burst of energy.
Perhaps it could help you to:
• Make that call or visit you’ve been putting off
• Finish completing that application form
• Do something soothing for you – take a hot bath
The trick is learning to notice when your human petrol is igniting… Good luck!
