All those I love, are beautiful people and animals! I am incredibly blessed to have great family and friends, and I cherish them all!

Against a harrowing childhood, the challenges of cerebral palsy, and many setbacks: I am grateful for all of life’s lessons. The early prognosis when I was born that I wasn’t expected to be able to talk or walk, learning both aged three. I therefore never take it for granted that I’m mobile, equally so that I can talk- since I love language. For as long as I can recall, I thank the universe daily, and especially so, since many people with the same disability are less fortunate.

Beauty is only skin deep. I am saddened by the surgical, non-surgical industry, and whilst I won’t state that I will never have such procedures done, I feel it to be unlikely. I’m pleased to learn that many “promise the earth” advertising is scrutinized and lots of adverts get quickly banned. We have all read about vulnerable people, going overseas for cheaper procedures, than are available in the U.K. We have read about the tragic all too common fatalities.

These poor souls endure a depilating human trait of feeling insecure, and this negative emotion was once a weight I used to carry, bestowed on me by my dreadful mother. Nowadays you don’t need a neglectful parent to pummel at fragile self-esteem: every media form still promotes idealism; though I am delighted that more ordinary people are now being showcased by the so-called beauty industry.

If we’re genuine kind souls then we are automatically beautiful. The human species can grow all manner of positive human attributes, and these are what makes us beautiful.

In life we will all meet people who are hindered by insecurities, and we must go out of our way to help them realise that fixing something aesthetic is NOT an automatic ticket to happiness. The only true route to feelings of contentment is work that we invest on our invisible souls within.

Help others to connect to our natural beautiful world. Get them to notice the imperfections in other species: the wonky branches of a tree, the disheveled feathers of a sparrow… But draw their attention to the feisty plant. It may have been planted in poor light or soil, yet look at how it blossoms, angling itself – seemingly impossibly right up towards our glorious sun. That is true beauty – and we all have what it takes to be the best version of beautiful you!

I hope you find this helpful.

SUNNY wishes,
