We’re blessed to be having the best sunny summer, here in the UK.

The sun soothes me: bone-deep, and the warmth does a great job at massaging my pain.

Its rays evoke a toothy-wide smile. It’s so nice to only need to wear shorts and t-shirts.

And, it’s waking me up: kiss by kiss: revealing hibernated freckles.

My skin is glowing, and the juicy fridge-cold fruit is nudging the lethargic atoms within me. A calm pleasant voice in my imagination is cooing: “Wakey, wakey”.

I am in the midst of being re-booted, like a device. I am deliberately noticing how nice I feel.

I am feeling blessed: nature is giving me my very own carnival of joy, colour, and scent.

Everywhere I look is cartoon vibrant, and the seafront is full of bronzy – bodies, with gleaming white-teethed smiles, usually associated with a Californian beach.

The laughter is contagious. It makes for impromptu chatter with other chirpy souls. It is moreish, and light.

I feel highly grateful to be alert to this nutritious sensation: residing in the dots of me.

The “switch” in my head is “on”.  I am being recharged.

I realise how handy it is to feel awake.

I shall continue to remember the celebratory, soul-boosting buzz.

In my mind’s eye, I am filming this. I am bottling up my cool calm vibes.

I will store them up for when I might need to take a swig of this personalised tonic…

Next time you’re fortunate to enjoy a wonderful day, try my made-up method out for yourselves.

For times that you may feel tired or heavy-hearted, you can grab your own personal vibe: bottle it up, like I do.

Simply sit comfortably with a glass of water by your side. Close your eyes and recall your lovely, day or time memory. Include: place / who with / where / were. Make sure you maximise on the details, such as sounds and scents. Examples: sun lotion, or barbeques, laughter, etc.

It doesn’t matter how many times you open and close your eyes. With practice, you’ll do so less. This is about knowing how to access nicer periods of time in your life.

Additionally, to learn how to enjoy a sip of your personal best vibes, for when you need to improve your relaxing techniques. For when you need to remind yourselves of the best version of yourself and utilise that energy. Recycle the memory.

In just five minutes, you’ll be amazed at how helpful that little sip was. You may feel inclined to enjoy another sip later. Or, keep the “bottle” for another day.

Our brains function better when we’re calm. We are wise to try some self-healing. It’s free, and always at your disposal, and it’s a relatively easy, and fun method.
