We’re all existing in unprecedented times. Most of us have never lived in a pandemic before.
All the most cumbersome emotions are blocking our brains; we have a Piccadilly Circus of anxiety, depression, fear and worry!
Yet, there was a time when you were buoyant, content, happier, and with far fewer cares or worries. A time perhaps when you accomplished something that made you feel physically taller and fully charged.
It’s time to revisit those wonderful memories, to recall what you did, and in as much detail as possible: who was with you, what were you wearing, how did you celebrate, how did you feel?
To recycle your happy emotions is extremely helpful. It’s like sweeping your fringe away from your eyes; you feel as though you have a clearer perspective, a better grip on the day ahead.
Any accomplishment or recollection of a happier time is worthy of recycling. Whether it be the day that you met a genuine person who’s now a trusted friend, or perhaps when you passed a difficult test or gained your driving licence.
Every one of your accomplishments and your memories count. Within each one, personal to you, are tiny buds of joy, waiting like photographs to be enjoyed again. They will help you to lift your spirits, and to re-connect with the happier version of you and all the unique ideas and talents that you possess.
