There will be times when you feel that you can’t talk to anyone about how you feel. Either you don’t want to talk about what’s happened or what you’re going through, or you may feel like no-one will understand how you are feeling.

The thing is, no-one has to understand how you’re feeling. It’s not about them understanding – they may never have gone through anything similar to what you have. The important part is that they have listened to you, and that you’ve shared your anguish.

If you feel like you can’t talk to anyone you know, there are lots of support services which you can call and speak to anonymously, and they can give you professional advice and help. These people are specifically trained in helping people in need to relieve their problems and offer support. And they are free – you can call them at any time, day or night, and they will respect your confidentiality.

If you feel trapped, lost, confused, stressed, worried, anxious…or any other of the range of emotions you may be feeling…please try and reach out, even to one person, and confide in them. A huge black cloud will lift for you – just talk. To anyone.
