Have you noticed that the people you admire the most – tend to be the busiest. They get a lot done; as though they are conjuring up valuable time from thin air. A magic flick of a wand, and giant dollop of willfulness.
Such folk know about the arduous job of finding motivation. It is an untaggable invisible energy; which like a shadow cannot be grasped. It can be as difficult to find – as locating a large nugget of gold at the bottom of your garden. There are no magic maps available online to grant us motivation either. Yet it can be obtained, if you follow a simple formula.
When we are energized, or feel like emulating someone who inspires us; we can grasp motivation, hold onto the reigns of it and steer us on the path towards all our ambitions and desires. We can do so with gusto, intent, and passion.
Yet it fast slips out of our clutch and we feel despondent and deflated. We repeat the cycle, and often feel disappointed with ourselves for not being consistent. We forget that motivation is allusive and fickle; and we wonder what the busy people, who we admire – do differently to keep a firm grip of their motivation…
They act, and they do not grade their actions either. They start by making actions within their spare time; and they do not try to achieve impossible tasks within unrealistic time frames.
If for example they want to clear their garden, with a view and vision to create a totally new landscape; they start on any initial task: a rough sketch of their dream, over a cup of coffee. But after their refreshment, they do not get distracted. They figure that they have another spare hour, and get on with clearing out a shed. When it is time for them to go to work; they think about when they can next get on with their task – because they have become inspired through their actions. They have harnessed motivation, without any conscious thinking. They have bypassed the challenging hunt for motivation, purely by acting on the things they wish to achieve. They have found motivation. They do not act for admiration and they are happy to be busy. They have made motivation, and transfer the useful formula in everything they do.
Taking actions on areas we desire, creates inspiration; and when we do, then we are rewarded with the magical energy – that is self-grown motivation. When we follow these steps, then we too can achieve the things we want to in our lives. Action creates inspiration which in turn makes motivation!
I hope you find this helpful.
