We have evolved greatly since Homo habilis, the first species of human, and our prehistoric ancestors had to adapt to survive. We had little choice, if we were to outwit the stealthy predators. We relied on our unrivaled intellect, and our fortitude; learning to build shelter, fire and hunt for food.
Fast forward to evolution- overload: the industrial revolution, the era of convenience, food delivered by stream train, sophisticated hydraulics positively affecting manufacturing – a plethora of sectors. Yet in some ways was an alertness fader – because we relied on buttons over brain.
Now to us as individuals, and midst the new challenges of worldly living today. How are we adapting, and evolving on a personal level? We cannot overlook that to evolve, is to strengthen our incredible human brain, and keep it awake.
Whether you’re up to speed with the latest technology or not, this is not to negate self on the need for ongoing personal development. If we make a concerted effort to consciously devote ourselves to evolving as individuals – investing diligently on bettering ourselves: then our collective mind would surely be more resilient. Could we be a happier species? If the media focused on supporting our life journeys, we could share and strengthen…
Unfortunately, we all know that the media is more inclined to focus on profit, selling salacious stories, or doom and gloom. However, this is not to stop us focusing on us, since our control lies within us, and the choices we make – for ourselves.
I say none of this flippantly, my annoying disability has declined, and to dodge surgery – I must evolve further. Force self to keep walking, work-out new ways to place foot on ground, even though it is extremely painful. I am lucky because I’ve always been adept at keeping my mind strong; I thank a neglectful mother for this. Far more people are worse off than me, those unable to walk at all, those facing life-changing surgery.
We are all lucky to be born in human form, and whilst life is tough, we can choose to consciously revert back to the reliance of our ancestral human mind. We must make a concerted effort to learn new things, push ourselves- just slightly out of our comfort zone.
Necessity is often the catalyst for adapting; we have a duty to number one – to evolve.
The appreciation for the wonderful natural planet we reside on, and the choice we can make to use its energy to help keep our souls charged. And the desire to continue modifying our life journey, as though we are updating our personal life map: accepting changes and evolving to accommodate them.
I hope you find this helpful.
SUNNY wishes,
